BillsBasement, a wholly owned subsidiary of noware.com, has announced it has been the victim of a hostile takeover by Kitware, a Halfmoon NY software company.
Will Schroeder, President, and CEO of Kitware issued the following statement: "For years, BillsBasement has been a PIA about software quality and API backward compatibility of the Insight Toolkit (ITK) and the Visualization Toolkit (VTK). Kitware and the community that supports ITK and VTK cannot afford the increased expenses to maintain quality software and backward compatibility.
